Duke University School of Medicine (Duke Medical School) is a private medical school located in Durham, North Carolina. Curriculum Highlights: The Duke Medical School curriculum has been designed to explore the medical experience from a “patient FIRST’ perspective. Students start with a one-year basic science curriculum that provides context for clinical patient care. The school utilizes a blended learning model that leverages technology to deliver content in an efficient, engaging manager. Students have an entire year to conduct an in-depth exploration of a particular scholarly interest across numerous medical disciplines. During this time, medical students have access to a variety of mentorship and, throughout, standardized and valid assessments of progress are used to ensure acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes appropriate to the goals of each student as a future physician

Duke Medical School offers a four-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, as well as a number of dual degree programs, including an MD/MBA program, an MD/MPH program, and an MD/PhD program.
